Terms of Service
§11. Acceptance
By creating an account on classlingos.com you ("Subscriber") enter a binding agreement. ClassLingos is software — NOT a school, academy, or tutoring service.
§22. License
Subject to payment, we grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the platform for your own teaching. All software, AI prompts, vocabulary databases remain our IP.
§32A. Your Content & Ownership — You Own Your Lessons
You retain full ownership of the original lessons, slide decks, worksheets, dialogues, and teaching materials you create or assemble on ClassLingos ("Your Content"). We claim NO ownership of Your Content. By creating or saving Your Content, you grant ClassLingos only a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, display, and deliver it to you and the students you teach, solely to operate and provide the platform. This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account (except for reasonable backups and any content you have separately licensed to other educators). This ownership covers your original creative arrangement and additions — the underlying ClassLingos software, AI prompts, templates, and vocabulary databases (clause 2) and the non-exclusive nature of raw AI outputs (clause 8) still apply.
§43. Subscription Tiers
Trial (free, 5 AI runs/mo + 1 sandbox classroom). Basic ($6.99/mo billed annually, $9.99 monthly). Pro ($10.99/mo annually, $14.99 monthly). Pro Live ($14.99/mo annually, $17.99 monthly — Pro + Virtual Classroom bundle). Schools (custom, from $4.95/seat with 5+ seats). Virtual Classroom add-on ($9.99/mo) is available to Basic and Pro subscribers as an optional upgrade.
§54. Account Security & No Credential Sharing
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. SHARING YOUR ACCOUNT CREDENTIALS WITH ANY THIRD PARTY (including other teachers, AI tools, automation services, or contractors) is a MATERIAL BREACH and grounds for immediate termination without refund. We may detect credential-sharing through usage patterns (concurrent logins from incompatible geolocations, automated request patterns) and revoke access at our sole discretion.
§62B. Your Domain — You Own It, Take It With You
Any custom domain you register through ClassLingos, or connect from another registrar, belongs to YOU — not to ClassLingos. We never hold your domain hostage. If you decide to stop using ClassLingos, you may transfer your domain out to any other registrar at any time using a standard authorization (EPP/auth) code we will provide on request, or simply point its DNS elsewhere. For in-app registrations we act only as your reseller/agent with the upstream registrar; you are the listed registrant. You are responsible for keeping your domain renewed (we offer auto-renew as a convenience). Note: while a domain is connected, we add only the DNS records needed to route your white-label site and authenticate your email (CNAME, SPF, DKIM, DMARC); we never modify unrelated records.
§75. Anti-Scraping & Anti-Training
You agree NOT to: (a) use automated tools (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to extract content; (b) train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model on ClassLingos outputs; (c) bulk-download content for redistribution; (d) reverse-engineer our AI prompts, fingerprint our generation pipeline, or extract our vocabulary databases. Violations may result in legal action under DMCA, CFAA, and EU Database Directive.
§86. Subscriber Conduct & Indemnification
You are solely responsible for content you create and the audience you teach. You indemnify ClassLingos from claims arising from your own teaching activities, especially in jurisdictions restricting foreign ESL services (e.g., China's 2021 Double Reduction Policy 双减).
§97. No Educational Endorsement
ClassLingos does not certify or guarantee educational outcomes. CEFR/Cambridge/IELTS references are illustrative software components.
§108. AI-Generated Content
AI outputs (lessons, voices, songs, images) are "as-is." Review before student use. Generated content is non-exclusive — similar prompts may produce similar output for others. You may NOT claim ClassLingos's AI-generated outputs as your original copyrighted work for the purpose of suing other users.
§119. Termination
Either party may terminate. We may suspend for payment failure, fraud, credential-sharing, scraping, or AUP violation. No refund issued for terminations due to abuse.
§1210. Disclaimers & Liability
PROVIDED "AS IS." Total liability limited to fees paid in the 12 months preceding a claim.
§1311. Governing Law
Laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes resolved in Delaware courts unless local consumer-protection law applies.
